Is dedicated to supporting
Safe, Healthy, & Sustainable
homes for all Kanaka Bar members
both On & Off reserve.
We work to ensure that every family has access to fair, consistent, and culturally grounded housing supports, regardless of where they live.

Our team oversees home renovations, maintenance assessments, emergency repair assistance, tenancy support, and housing applications, while also coordinating funding opportunities, community infrastructure upgrades, and long-term development planning. Through these services, we aim to create stable living environments that support wellness, family growth, and community connection.

The Housing Department works closely with Operations & Maintenance, Social Development, and Economic Development to improve housing conditions, enhance energy efficiency, and support new construction and future community planning. These partnerships help ensure that housing initiatives reflect the needs of T’eqt’aqtn’mux families, respect cultural values, and meet both present and future demands.

Our commitment is to deliver housing services that are transparent, accessible, and supportive for all members strengthening the foundation of our community, one home at a time.
