We work to strengthen community safety, coordinate emergency response, maintain readiness, and support households during critical events such as fires, floods, landslides, power outages, and extreme weather.
Our team collaborates with Chief & Council, regional partners, and emergency service agencies to build a resilient community that can act quickly, stay informed, and remain safe during emergencies.

What We Do

Emergency Planning & Preparedness

Develop and update emergency response plans

Support household readiness and emergency kits

Community training, drills, and workshops

Emergency Alerts & Communication

Deliver urgent notifications to members

Share real-time updates during emergencies

Provide clear instructions, safety notices, and resource information

Response Coordination

Work with first responders, local authorities, and BC emergency agencies

Support evacuation planning and safety logistics

Ensure vulnerable members and Elders receive appropriate support

Infrastructure & Risk Management

Monitor landslide zones, wildfire risk, flooding areas, and weather conditions

Improve community infrastructure to reduce hazards

Support long-term planning for climate resilience
