Home and Community Care LPN

The Kanaka Bar Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works as a member of an interprofessional team responsible to deliver quality, safe, and efficient care for Home & Community Care clients. The LPN provides nursing oversight for staff and works cooperatively and under the delegation of the Registered Home & Community Care Nurse. The LPN is accountable to work within their scope of practice, as per their professional licensing body at all times, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Home & Community Care Nurse Job Description (Part-time)

The Home Care & Community Health Nurse (Nurse) is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care in the Kanaka Bar Indian Band (KBIB) community and to their members. The Nurse will promote and raise awareness of healthy lifestyles and services available to the KBIB members, while considering their physical, cultural, psychological, social, and environmental needs.

The Home Care & Community Health Nurse is a registered degree nurse (RN) who is responsible for providing a coordinated system of services that enables First Nations people of all ages with disabilities, chronic or acute illness to receive needed care in their homes and communities

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Road Maintenance • Weekly Garbage Collection and Recycling • Snow Removal • Repairs and upkeep of community buildings and residential homes • Upkeep of public spaces and grounds of Kanaka • Other duties as assigned.

Health Administration Assistant/ Patient Travel Clerk

Full-time: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm

Pay: Negotiable depending on experience

Job Purpose: The primary objective of the Health Administration Assistant/ Patient Travel Clerk is to arrange for patient travel and provide clerical and administrative support to the KBIB Health Department.
