Provincial Government
The mainland colony of British Columbia was declared in 1858. In 1871, British Columbia joined Canada as a Province and since then, Kanaka has been engaging with Provincial officials on land and resource uses within Nlaka'pamux Nation lands.
2019 will be the 4th year in a row that Kanaka has had to chance to sit with the BC Premier and the Ministers.
Our provincial electoral area is known as Fraser-Nicola and since 2013, our member of the Victoria legislative assembly has been MLA Jackie Tegart.
